Dear City of Pittsburgh,
-Sigh-
Look at you.
You look great. Really, you do. Young. Virile, even.
But you're not, are you, Pittsburgh?
Let's face it, Pittsburgh. Your projected job growth is -0.78. Yes, that's right. It's projected that there will be even LESS jobs at this time next year than there are now. You are one of the worst cities for singles, the median salary of your residents is ABYSMAL, and your public transportation system? Crap, and getting crappier.
Come on, Pittsburgh. I've given you the best 22.5 years of my life. I call you home; I bleed your colors of black and gold. I openly wept when your Steelers won the Super Bowl. I know most of your neighborhoods like the back of my hand, and I appreciate them each, for their unique charms. Although I've carefully phased mine out, I find the Pittsburgh accent appealing. I CARE, Pittsburgh, I really, really do. But you've become too much of a strain on me. Our relationship has become a burden.
I think it's time I headed for greener pastures. Or at least a city with real jobs. I guess I've made up my mind.
Fear not, Pittsburgh. You will always hold a spot in my heart.
All of my love,
Katie
