Things People Do That Annoy Me, Part II

In Roman numerals, no less!

I have a new annoyance that I'd like to bring to your collective attentions.
Why is it that bartenders and waiters/waitresses in Pittsburgh deem it necessary to ask me, when I order an Iron City, if what I really want is an I.C. Light? To ask me that question is insulting me on two fronts:

1) Do they really think that I'm stupid enough to NOT know what kind of beer I want? Not to be egotistical, but I consider myself to hover in the "above average" category of intelligence in most aspects, though simple arithmetic tends to escape me. Moreover, I have several areas of actual expertise-- Full House trivia, the history of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and beer. When I say I want an Iron City, I know that I am ordering a cool, refreshing premium lager. What I am NOT ordering is Iron City's watered-down, foul-tasting little brother, I.C. Light. Ugh.

2) I'm starting to get a "fat girl complex" about this. I mean, how would you feel if every time you told a server what you wanted, they suggested something lower in calories? If you were in a restaurant and ordered a big greasy artery-clogging cheeseburger, and the server suggested a nice house salad instead, you'd cry. You would fucking weep, and then probably develop some kind of life-ruining eating disorder. Well that is what's happening here, and look, I have no time for an eating disorder, what with my busy schedule of eating constantly, drinking NON-LIGHT beer, and getting fat.

On that note, I hope everyone has a safe, happy, FULL-FLAVORED, fatty fat fattening Memorial Day weekend!

I won't judge you on your beer choice because I drink Miller Lite... and although I too consider myself an expertise in beer you would not be able to tell from that choice. They pay me to do it. At least you're not drinking Rolling Rock. That's kind of sad now that I think of it because I can no longer make fun of RR tasting like Latrobe pee water. Now I guess it will be dirty NJ water.

Do you like it better out of Aluminum or glass?
